From workshops on "green" cleaning to the use of environmentally-friendly products in the public places we maintain as well as in our own yards, we make every effort to promote responsible gardening in the 21st century.




2009-2010 Initiative

Reduce our personal and club's carbon footprints by taking small steps!
  1. Recycle, recycle, recycle.
  2. Use reusable shopping bags.
  3. Get a home energy audit and implement the recommendations.
  4. Be more efficient in transportation activities and behaviors.
  5. Increase use of nontoxic cleaning and gardening products.
  6. Conserve water, thereby conserving electricity.

The Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection regularly publishes P2 View, a newsletter with pollution prevention tips.
