The objectives of the Club shall be to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening and the art of flower arranging; to aid in the protection of trees, plants and birds; to encourage civic beautification; and to instill a respect for the environment.
". . . to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening."
Knowledge and love of gardening-- the common bonds that bring us together. This excerpt from our club's purpose reflects our passion, our comfort, our quest and our theme for this year. A year that will bring new learning, new and renewed friendships, and renewed passion for our purpose. A new year always feels like a fresh start, just like spring in the garden. We rest, we anticipate and now we are ready to begin again.
Our Conservation Committee has initiated a stimulus program that encourages and supports low-impact living and long-term sustainability. The goal is to make and document lifestyle changes that will reduce our carbon footprint as individuals and as a club.
We are always happy to have new members! We invite Suffield residents-- men and women-- interested in joining the club to attend a meeting as a guest to learn more. Guests are welcome at meetings up to three times per year. Guest fee: $5; December fee: $10.
